Join us as we dine with Michelin-rated chefs, cook paella in an outdoor kitchen on the terrace at the villa, enjoy Flamenco nights and delicious tapas tastings. You’ll capture the true essence of Spain as you embark on this culinary journey… and experience a sensory overload in Andalucia, a land of contrast and beauty.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival – Malaga Airport – Our chef and guide for the week will be there to greet us.

We will then make our way to El Carligto, our lavish villa in Canilles de Aceituno, situated on a seclud- ed hilltop at the junction of three mountain ranges and overlooking the Mediterranean. Alan, our host at the villa, will be there to welcome us with wine and tapas. Time to unpack and relax before dinner.

8:00 pm – Welcome Dinner – Gourmet 4 course meal featuring local Andalucian cuisine by Chef David.

Day 2

Vineyards, Chefs of Andalusia and the Costa del Sol

9:00 – 10:00 am – Breakfast Service
11:00 am – Departure from the villa

Our first stop will be a winery tour at Bodegas Bentomiz in Sayalonga. Relax in the wine salon as the Bodega owners lead us in a guided tasting of each of the Ariyanas wines, with lunch. The menu has been created by Chef Juan Quintanilla, known as one best chefs in the area and who has previously worked in Michelin-rated restaurants.

Following, off to the seaside town of Nerja, often referred to as “The Jewel of the Costa del Sol”. Time to walk around and discover this charming town and visit the famous “Balcon de Europa”, with its magnificent views of the coast. We will continue our day with a visit to the caves of Nerja – This is a natural wonder and said to be the most extensive unexplored systems in Europe.

Dinner at a local seafood restaurant in the fishing village of Caletta de Velez.

Day 3

Old World Charms , Tapas & Pueblo Blancos

8:30 – 9:30 am – Breakfast Service
9:45 am – Departure from the villa

Today we visit Marbella – a vibrant, glamorous resort town but its historic Casco Antigua (Old Town), is often overlooked by tourists. Think picturesque ancient architecture and narrow cobbled streets, lined with boutique shops, and art galleries. Charming white facades, full of balconies and colorful flowers will definitely make you feel the typical Andalucian atmosphere, with a tapas lunch in the old town.

We will visit a couple of Pueblo Blancos, and enjoy a picturesque drive to Chef David’s villa for a delicious dinner on the terrace overlooking the mountains.

Day 4

The Vineyards of Romantic & Captivating Ronda

7:45 – 8:45 am – Breakfast Service
9:00 am – Departure from the villa

A beautiful day ahead as we visit the historical and beautiful region of Ronda, known for its stunning landscape and vineyards. We will visit a vineyard for wine tastings and tapas, very unique! Lunch in Ronda Centro, a spectacular cliffside town. Time to stroll around and enjoy the amazing views.

9:00 pm – Very light dinner/snack at the villa as we will be returning home late.

Day 5

The Essence of Granada and Magnificent Alhambra

7:45 – 8:45 am – Breakfast Service
9:00 am – Departure from the villa

Today we will visit the beautiful, lively and historical city of Granada where you will experience Spain’s Moorish and Christian history with every step you take. Partake in a 2.5 hour private guided tour of the famous Alhambra fortress, Nasrid Palaces, the Medina and Generalife Gardens. A tapas lunch in the old centre of Granada, with a walking tour of the historic Moorish neighborhood of Albaycin and the areas around the cathedral.

8:00 pm – 3 course dinner at the villa prepared by Chef David.

Day 6

Chef Guided Trip to Malaga and Paella Cooking Course

8:15 – 9:15 am – Breakfast Service
9:30 am – Departure from the villa

Exploring historical and colorful Malaga. Your chef-guided walk will include a delicious snack of churros, tour of Malaga’s vibrant Atarazanas Central Market – shopping for ingredients for tonight’s dinner, as well as a relaxing walk around the town.

Lunch will be enjoyed at El Pimpi – the oldest tapas bar in Malaga. Return to the villa, with time to relax.
6:00 pm – Time to cook up some Paella – Cooking with Chef David 8:00 pm – Paella dinner

Day 7

Local Specialities & Flamenco Nights

9:00 – 10:00 am – Breakfast Service
12:30 pm – Departure from the villa

Our afternoon will be spent in the village of Canilles de Aceituno. This charming white “pueblo” perched on the slopes of Sierra Tejeda and at the foot of the “La Maroma” mountains is a natural balcony of Axarquia and offers stunning views of the Velez and Rubite valleys. A stunning landscape of olive plantations, vineyards, almond and fig trees.

A walk around the village and lunch at a local restaurant famous for its “Chivo de Canilles” or roast goat.

Return to El Carligto to relax

7:30 pm – Farewell Dinner – Chef David will showcase his talent and prepare a gourmet 5 course tasting menu for us to enjoy on the outdoor terrace, under the stars. In between our courses, we will enjoy a mesmerizing Flamenco performance. Prepare to be dazzled!

Day 8

Following breakfast, departure for the airport – Times to be confirmed.
